Notice of Refusal for a Proposed Incinerator in Cornwall, March 2009
Winslow Meeting - 20 May 2009
Dr van Steenis provided the meeting with scientifically backed evidence about how dangerous are the emissions from these incinerators...
SAVI held the fourth in their programme of public information meetings at Winslow Combined School on 20th May 2009.
An audience of more than 100 listened to a presentation by expert guest speaker Dr Dick van Steenis who is a renowned international expert on the topic of toxic emissions and their impact upon the environment and public health. Dr van Steenis explained why it is that not only should we not accept the proposals for waste incineration in rural Aylesbury Vale but equally because of environmental and health concerns they should be opposed wherever they are proposed to be built. Residents of Winslow and surrounding villages were given evidence of why they particularly are at risk from toxic emissions because of the direction of the prevailing wind.

We ask:
- Do you care about the health of our children and families?
- Do you value your home and our environment?
- Is the rural nature of Aylesbury Vale important?
